Italian Tech Forum 2027

The Italian Tech Forum (ITF) is the premier strategic event dedicated to showcasing Italy's thriving technology ecosystem to a qualified audience of Swiss and international investors, corporate leaders, and tech professionals. Italian Tech Forum is organized by the Camera di Commercio Italiana per la Svizzera through its innovation-focused group, Italian Tech Hub, with patronage and supervision from the Consolato Generale d'Italia a Zurigo, in collaboration with ICE – Italian Trade Agency and Greater Zurich Area.

The event serves a dual purpose: to showcase Italy's "Sistema Paese" in the technology sector and to make it increasingly attractive for investments and cooperation from a qualified audience of investors and professionals in Switzerland.

The 2027 theme is: Speed shapes Italian technology. The edition explores how technologies connected to speed accelerate innovation across industries, in Italy and abroad, and what opportunities emerge for Swiss-Italian cooperation.

Italy's Race Tech industry, which spans motorsport and high-performance automotive engineering, is the result of decades of investment in technology, design, and industrial expertise. Many technologies developed in this ecosystem now drive innovation across key areas:

The program features two distinct moments:

Part I – Closed-doors workshop

2:00 – 4:30 PM, by invitation only

Can Switzerland become an international hub for Italian tech? A workshop with key facilitators and decision makers from the Swiss and Italian innovation systems.

Part II – Evening program

6:00 – 9:00 PM, open to the public

- Opening remarks by the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Switzerland, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian Trade Agency Bern, and Greater Zurich Area

- Introductory keynote: From Swiss-Italian Cooperation to European Opportunities, by Giorgio Ciron, Director of InnovUp

         - Panel 1 – Italian Race Tech: leading Italian race-tech corporates and clusters, and selected business cases

         - Panel 2 – Beyond the Track: Italian VCs and startups, together with Swiss stakeholders from the innovation industry and academia, on how technologies connected to speed can strengthen relations between Switzerland and Italy across industries

Master of Ceremony: Stephan Lendi

The event will conclude with a networking aperitif, where ITA - Italian Trade Agency and one Italian Region will showcase Italian tech excellence and investment opportunities in dedicated corners.
