Swiss Italian Corner at WMF 2024

The time for innovation returns.

From June 13-15, 2024, we will be at WMF Bologna, the International Trade Fair and Festival on Tech and Digital Innovation, which this year will move from Rimini to Bologna, the capital of Emilia Romagna.

This will be the third time that we participate in this major hub of international innovation that offers Italian startups the opportunity to come into direct contact with Swiss investors and business angels interested in innovative ideas Made in Italy.

But this year there will be an even greater array of opportunities available because we will be presenting the first ever Swiss Italian Startup Award at WMF. All independent Italian startups, accelerators and clusters are encouraged to sign up, and even Swiss companies and investors are welcome to participate.

Thanks to this Swiss/Italian exhibition concept we have developed and to the participation of Swiss Global Enterprise and the Consulate General of Italy in Zurich and the Greater Zurich Area, we are the point of reference for both Italian innovators that form part of the Italian technological ecosystem and Swiss investors interested in open innovation and high-tech Italian products.

WMF for Italian startups

The aim of our Swiss/Italian booth at the trade fair in Bologna is to ensure that the startups that visit us have the opportunity to meet with major Swiss institutions and investors and to offer them a glimpse of what the Swiss market has to offer.

But that’s not all. Italian startups at the WMF in Bologna are eligible to participate in the Open Innovation initiative launched by the Chamber of Commerce: the Swiss Italian Startup Award of Geneva (https://www.swissitalianstartupaward.ch).

Organized in collaboration with Fongit (www.fongit.ch), the November 12, 2024 contest is open to clusters, accelerators and independent Italian startups that are eager to present their innovative ideas to an international audience involved in high tech and innovation.

WMF for Swiss business angels and investors
